Shipping Policy
Once you submit an order, our team will be notified and work quickly to get it ready for you.
Delivery Time Frames
Delivery time is defined as the number of days it takes from the moment you place your order until you receive it at your designated shipping address.
Delivery times are available if you use our shipping calculator or during checkout.
In Stock Items
In stock items refer to items that are stocked at our warehouse.
- You can expect 3 - 15 business days delivery (metro areas) or up to 21 business days for country and remote regions.
- Pick up from our warehouse may be available on the same day or typically within 5 business days.
Order Only Items
Order only items are stocked at the supplier and require us to order them into our warehouse.
- You can expect 3 - 15 business days delivery (metro areas) or up to 21 business days for country and remote regions.
- Pick up from our warehouse may be available on the same day or typically within 5 business days.
- Order Only items are marked as such on the product page in the Delivery & Returns section.
Custom Order Items
- If you arrange for a custom-built item or request custom changes, the delivery time usually ranges from 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the customisation.
- Most (but not all) items on our website will be marked custom order if they are so, typically in the description box.
Pre-Order (Currently Out Of Stock) Items
- Items will be marked pre-order on our website if we have deemed they are currently unavailable from the supplier but will be available at a future date.
- If the product is marked pre-order, we recommend calling us before making an order if you would like an estimate for when you should receive the product.
Note: All delivery timeframes for pre-order, custom order, stock items and order only items are estimates only and may be subject to change based on supplier stock levels, carrier delays and so on.
Ordering An Item That Not Available or Discontinued
We do our best to mark all items that are currently not available.
However, there may be rare instances where stock levels change unexpectedly, and the item will be unavailable for delivery or is discontinued and no longer being sold.
If you order an item that is unexpectantly delayed or not available, you will be contacted to discuss alternatives or be advised of a wait time.
If you do not agree to this wait time or the suggest alternatives, a full refund will be organised that will cover the sell price of the product and shipping fees.
Authority To Leave
By default, our items are sent without the authority to leave (ATL) option enabled, unless otherwise specified. If you prefer your item to be left with authority to leave, kindly include a note during checkout or give us a call.
While we understand that you may require an authority to leave your goods unattended, it is important to note that once delivery is confirmed by our couriers, any damages, losses, or theft of the product will be your sole responsibility.
I Was Not Home To Receive The Goods
Since our items are sent without authority to leave (ATL), the couriers will typically leave a card or notice if no one is available at the delivery address. This will inform the recipient of where to pick up the item (typically at the nearest post office or depot).
After a determined amount of time - usually 10 business days - the item will be sent back to us. We will contact the customer once more to organise for another delivery. The delivery will need to be covered by the customer.
If the customer does not confirm redelivery, we will retain the item for a maximum of 30 days. After this period, a fee of $20 per week per pallet space will be applicable.
If the customer chooses to cancel the order at this stage, no refund will be given.
Free Delivery
Some items and orders (examples if the order reaches over a certain value) come with free shipping. If this applies to your order, you will see the option for free shipping during the checkout process.
Shipping Insurance
All of our items have shipping insurance. This allows us to process returns in case of a damaged item and supply a refund or replacement product. Please see our Refund & Returns Policy for more information.
Pick Up
If you order an item and select local pick-up, then you will be required to come into our store to pick up the item in person.
Notification for pick up will be sent to your method of contact. If you provided both your email and phone number, we will prioritize contacting you via email. However, if only your phone number was provided, we will send you a text message.
Please send an email to info@sydneyhomecentre.com.au or call us on 02 9707 1466 to confirm the date and time you wish to pick up the item.
You will need to bring some form of identification such as a driver's license to prove your name and address. Your name and address will need to match the details supplied when you originally submitted your order.
If you are unable to collect the item(s) yourself and require someone else to do this, we will require an email (sent to info@sydneyhomecentre.com.au) to provide details of the person picking up the item(s). This must include their name and address. This nominated person must provide their details in person upon pick up which must match the details supplied by you.
Pick up can only be done within our opening hours as stated below:
- 8am - 5pm | Mon - Fri | NSW Time
- 8:30am - 2:30pm | Sat | NSW Time
Do You Deliver Australia Wide?
In almost all cases we deliver to any location within Australia.
If we are unable to ship to your location, you will notice that no shipping method is provided when you estimate shipping or place your order.
In the very rare instance where there is no shipping available to you, please call us and we will work to organise an alternative.
Do You Deliver To Post Offices And PO Boxes?
Our couriers cannot send to Australia Post-owned properties. This includes post offices, PO boxes, parcel lockers, parcel collect locations and locked bags.
In the event that you do submit such a delivery address, our team will contact you to arrange an alternative delivery address.
Please note that our address check is usually done when your item(s) has arrived with us and is prepared to be sent. Therefore, please expect a delivery delay as we work to send your item to a new address.
How Much Does Delivery Cost?
When you purchase an item from us, you can use the 'Estimate Shipping' section to estimate the cost of delivery to your address.
Delivery cost is higher if you are outside a metropolitan area and/or your order exceeds average weights and size.
A final delivery cost will be quoted to you before you make a payment for your order.
Delivery Conditions
Delivery conditions are subject to the discretion of the carrier.
Typically, packages are delivered to the font of the door (or entrance to the building the property is situated in) or to the kerb if applicable.
If the item is on a skid pallet or bulky we will request a tail lift delivery to be made.
If the driver is unable to deliver the products upon arrival, redelivery fees will be applicable subject to the carrier.
